1G taking off the manifold

hi i was wondering if anyone could help me out.....i know the 2G manifold is alot better than the 1G so i want to buy a 2G one maybe get it ported....but the thing is tha i have heard tha some pple have had problems takin out the bolts....i heard tha it is comon for them to break n get stuck in the head.....

So if some pple could help me......has ne1 takin off their manifold.....have they had ne1 problems....let me know....i'm runnin some what of a poll to see if i should try it....thanx.......Jay

some of the bolts can strip since the head is aluminum.i took mine off while it was still warm and did not strip any bolts.The hardest bolt to get to is the one behind the power steering pump.I bent the heat shield for the power steering pump to get to the bolt and it was still a ***** to get.When i reinstalled it i left that bolt out : 0 ).I havent had any leaks fom there yet.When you get the 2g manny you'll have to grind some off of the corner nearest the cams to get it on.

ya that one over by the power steering pump sucks ass. but you shouldnt break any. ive replaced them on 4 cars withoug breaking a thing. also, i didnt have to grind a thing to get my 95 talon mani on my 1g. i dont know why people say you have to. anyways, have fun with that bolt.
