Ok so i ordered a jrc fmic. I wanted to have the plumbing built at a local exhaust shop. I was wondering what bends I need and also if i could get some pictures that would be great. They exhaust shop said they could bend the pipes for me so i just need some dimensions. Thanx ahead of time.

Odds are that the piping will be press bent (diameter decreases at the bend). You want mandrel bends so reduce any pressure drop. I purchased 2" ubends, 1 90* bend and 1 45* bend from JCwhitney. The pipes are aluminized and 2.5" in diameter. I also purchased t-bolt clamps and silicon couplings (one 2-2.5" reducer for the turbo outlet). Then I just cut everything to shape with a sawzal. Everything worked great and I ended up with a spearco FMIC for under $600 with all piping.

Thanx for your response and input i really appreciate it. I will just order them then and get er done on a weekend i have off. But once again thanx.

We have an exhaust shop here in NM that does mandrel bends. Only place in the state that has one. I too am looking for a kit for a FMIC but none out yet. To lazy to fab my own up. Hopefully Dave Brode will make a kit soon

I have JR's full kit and it is really nice. The way he runs the pipes are perfect :thumb: I just got rid of it and went dejon tool :coy: Jr's was way better but I went with a maft

Just go to JC Whitney and do your own FMIC PIPES for cheap. Also, you'll have some fun experience with plumbing. The one thing you're going to need to get done outside(unless you have a welder) is your BOV flange... Buy couplers and tbolt clamps and you're done.

IF you make your own piping, then get the ends bead rolled or weld some small beads around the pipe ends about 1/8 in. Easiest way is just buy his piping kit and be done with it.

Which JRC FMIC did you get? If you bought the back door style one thats SOOO easy to make a pipe kit for.

You would need to buy some pipes that have bends in them. such as 2 45 degree manderal bends, and 2 90 degree bends.

Then you just cut where needed and weld the the 2 peices together for both the lower and upper pipe like this:
