Is it just me, or does anyone else find metric really annoying? I'm looking at aftermarket gages and they read in foreign crap.
My exhaust manifold would melt to slag before i knew how the fuçk hot "3000ºC" meant

Bar? Kpa boost? god only knows why you would want to measure between 0-2 bar

can we PLEASE get some gages in english?

Metric is far superior to what we use.

I think we should convert to metric...

But hey, I'm just a moron :)

Marty :)

dude-
metric is much much much better than english...i'm an engineering major (use english) but work in a genetics research lab (all metric)...the metric is much much much easier to work with when calculating/figuring/converting.

I would happily switch over in a heartbeat...try working with english when discussing particle sizes of nanometers or volumes of microliters or masses of picograms...

i'm talking about something you readily understand in your head.

I work with english all day (contractor and building stuff) and when anybody asks me something that deals with meters rather than 16ths or 32nds, i just go blank. Hell, I even had some chinese guy come up to me three weeks ago with a metric venir caliper and ask me about a "17mm gas pipe." what was he smoking?

I guess it's just me then, but i'd rather have all my gages in english

it depends on what you are used to. If i need 17.4 percent of something, I would rather work with a system based on '10' instead of halves and quarters and 64th's
to each their own though. I used to hate metric until I really started using it, now I can't stand english

when it comes to comparisons and picturing things in my head i'm still stuck in the english world. but metric is superior.

Me too-- that was a major factor in my boost gauge selection. And there are several mfgs of gauges that read in PSI and in Fahrenheit (for EGT gauges)-- VDO, Autometer, and Isspro, just to name a few.

If I thought I would never ever ever have to use them again I would sell every english size tool I have. It's cool, I can keep a 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19 in the car and a few extensions with a ratchet and wouldn't need much else. So much easier. However i still like my miles, and psi.
