I have a 99 GSX and my car ticks a lot. so i bought 16 new lifters and i have no clue where they are? how to take the old ones off and the new ones in and if they need to be torqued or something? anyone help asap!

piece o cake man. Go to vfaq, look up lifter faq and read it. I would tell you how to do it myself, but this is a lot easier.

I agree with him^^ I had a mini crowbar, and a big flat head, and covered the rockers with a heave rag, just in case they rocketed off.

Yeah man, replacing lifters is one of the easiest things I have done on my car. Just make sure when you are prying it out you have some cushioning behind the crowbar and/ screwdriver so you don't start denting up the head. I had everything disassembled and reassembled in 2hrs my 1st time doing it so as long as you are careful it shouldn't be that hard. I reccomend replacing the valve cover gasket while you have it off too. :talon:
