yes as long as you keep the boost down around 12-13lbs.

my friend runs 20 psi all day on his 99 gst (b16g/550s/) on his stock sidemount w/o any problems. Best run was 13.8/109mph.

I have a big 16g ported running the factory IC to 16-17.5psi with no problems but awd wheel spin in 1st and 2nd.

I regularly run 20-24 psi on my big 16g with stock SMIC. In fact I just dynoed the car this weekend at 21.5 psi without serious problems. Keep in mind this is on race gas (Cam2), on the street I am around 18-20 psi but again do not have any problems.

I've been running 20 to 22 psi on my FP ported Big28 with race gas and stock smic. Car feels very strong but the temps around here have been very cool lately, so I'm sure that helps alot. The stock smic sucks!! I think theres a 20 to 30 hp gain to be had if I went to a fmic, which I'm going to around Xmas.
