boost problem

Alright. I got this boost issue. I was running 25psi ( cuz i couldn't lower it) before going to the track, but then when i was on the highway and punched it, it was only at 13psi. I just don't get it. I tried turning the knob in and out, but it was just still stuck at 13psi all day. Even though i was running 13psi, times were pretty good though. Anyone know what's wrong? By the way, i have the hallman mbc.

check your vacuum connections.. sounds like a hose has come off and your running off the wastegate alone.

Why couldn't you lower it below 25psi????

All the lines are connected. We checked everything, but still can't figure out what's wrong with the boost. Like i said, it's strange because i checked the boost the night before going to the track and it was 25psi, but when i checked it on the highway, it only gave me 13psi. I'll check all the lines again though.

check for exhaust leaks, running high boost like that'll heat up the manifold and expand it just enough and the bolts'll come lose when it contracts(where the turbo meets the o2 housing). happened to me a lot, i must have lost like 8 bolts already. i would hear a hissing sound and smell exhaust fumes when i punched it, and a lack of boost. wrench 'em on with lock washers real tight when the manifold is cold.

Yeh, it might be some exhaust leaks. I'll check that. Somehow i always get the hissing sound though, but then it didn't effect the boost back when i had my 16g. There's no smoke coming from the exhaust either. Like i said, somehow i just can't seem to adjust the boost though.

make sure your intake pipe isnt leaking at either your mas or turbo inlet.
