Ive been driving around for the past couple days with no radiator fans and my car isnt even getting hot. The temp guage usually sticks right below halfway on the guage even in stop and go traffic in the 90 degree heat.

Wtf?

Yea thats all I was lookin at. Never really thought about pulling out the logger and watching it. Oh well, I am going out to install my new slim fan here in about 15 min anyway. I just thought it was weird.

ya I must admit it is pretty strange seeing that these cars like to run hotter than hell itself but more power too you at least you never have to worry about overheating if you have an electrical failure.

The ONLY reason you have not overheated yet is that you have not been at idle long enough to overheat. It doesn't take too much air running through your radiator to keep the car at a reasonable temperature.

are you only using the stock guage as the way of telling temp?? I have found out the hardway twice that the guage only shows it too hot when its too late.

Man, isn't that true. I finally installed my water temp gauge and I've been compairing the two while driving around town. When I get to around 170 while warming up, the stock gauge will stay right in the middle and not budge. After my 1G head swap, I had a little coolant leak at the water neck that I haven't fixed yet and today I forgot to refill the water I lost of the last couple days. Temps got up to 235 :O :( but the damn stock gauge didn't move from the middle position it's always at. Last year when I was over heating due to a blown head gasket, I can't imagine how hot I was with the stock gauge about 3/4 of the way up.

I once had my stock gauge pegged at the top when one of my hoses blew on the highway OMG . Its a good thing I dont have that engine anymore hehe.
