Hey I ordered dsmlink and I got it chipped for 650cc injectors... I installed the ecu but havent installed the dsmlink yet... Im thinking of going with 850cc injectors but do I have to remove my ecu and get it chipped for 850cc injectors?

Not necessarily. You can change the global setting to matched your 850's but the downside is that you have to change the global setting everytime your ecu gets reset (i.e. battery disconnection). 1G's don't have to though.

So if my ecu resets all I have to change is my global settings back to where they were? How hard is that? Would it be worth me sending off my ecu again? Thanks. :dsm: :dsm:

Not hard. You just have to have your laptop or palm with you in case of a sudden ecu reset. Having it chipped will at least ensure you that you can drive your car right away after a battery reset. You could always have them send you a new chip while you run it with the 650 chip then pop the new chip when you get it in the mail. That involves taking the ecu out and replacing the chip itself. Hope that helps.
