HELP!!!What else do i need to Beat this Porshe 911

Today i raced my friends Porshe 911 and i was a little bit dissapointed that he beat me twice by 2-3 car lenghts. We were racing on a 2nd gear 30mph roll all the way up to 140mph. I was pulling on him all the way in 2nd , 3rd gear he would catch me and pass by 4th. Take a look at my mods and let me know what else do i need to beat him next time. Temperature outside at the time of race was around 90 degrees , really hot for a turbo car.

First my car mods: Car street tuned before installing the FMIC, now car is not tuned.

K&N intake, Greddy 24R FMIC , Greddy Lower & Upper Intercooler pipes, Greddy Type S BOV , Ported EVOIII 16G Turbo, Ported EVOIII Manifold, Ported EVOIII O2 Housing, RC 550cc Injectors, Apexi S-AFC II, Walbro 255LPH fuel pump, Autometer Boost Gauge, Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge & EGT probe+ Gauge, TurboXS HPBC, Apexi N1 downpipe, Apexi N1 cat-back system.

His car is stock, about 280hp. (Porshe 911 not turbo) I need some good advice on what else i need to do to my car so i beat him next time.

When is the last time you replaced the clutch? Also make shure your car is tuned for what you have. Are your tires hooking up? Mabey you need to let some preasure out of them! With the mods you have stated, you should have no problem beating him. I have a friend who has a simalar Porsche and I have way less mods. Mostly free mods and tuning, and I have beat him in numerous quarter mile runs!

I still have the stock clutch but its not slipping at all. Car hookes up good, the only problems i see it was the temperature outside 90 degrees plus the fact that i'm not tuned at all. I really need to go and do a dyno tune sesion at buschur racing. I was thinking the same with what mods i got i should at least take him . Help ...

Hmmmm.... Sounds like you should be beating him with what you got. You can't really ask "why am I not beating this guy?!" when you haven't tuned it yet. That FMIC is going to help drastically with your turbo, but you can't fully maximize its potential without proper tuning. Also, how much boost are you running? Once you get the car tuned, you might want to try upping the boost level.

With the new FMIC, a tuned car, and (possibly) an elevated boost level, I think you will get this guy. Best of Luck!

look into an afpr since u got the 255 fuel pump.tuning it for the fmic will prolly get u where u need to be. wat type of octane is at ur pumps?

He didn't race from a start..... Don't think tire pressure is going to matter much past 40mph.
