Would it be safe to run a Walbro 255 hp fuel pump with a stock FPR. If not, which FPR would you recommend?

peckgsx05 said:I stopped by the local shop to buy the fuel pump and asked the same question. He said that I can get away with not running an FPR for the time being (14b). He said 2g's need the FPR more than 1g's cause of a more restrictive unit. Also he added that an FPR can give me more tuneability so the next few paychecks i'll be getting one...just to be on the safe side.

And you will need an afpr for that, do it right.DGajre777 said:Oh yeah, you'll need a 255 for that!

For what it is worth, I got the 255 hp with an evo b16g and 550s. I did not get away with it. I am with the majority, get the afpr. I am waiting for my Aeromotive as we speak (while carefully using my 450s - wife only less than 10 psi allowed).DSMSpyder99 said:this question is like venting: some people get away with it and some people dont. I am a follower of better safe than sorry i would get an Aeromotive AFPR check out ExtremePSI they got a nice deal on it
