Bearing Identification

Please inform me on how to tell what type/style my bearings are. I am rebuilding my 95 tsi 7-bolt and when i go to order new bearings the dealer asks me if they are yellow, blue, or none, or if they have a roman numeral on them. When we finally get them out all that is stamp on the is D6g. And that is by looking on the bearing its self. How can i tell what type/kind of bearing it is? Am i looking in the wrong place?

It should be stamped on the crank, on the #1 arm.

2G 7-bolt cranks all have their own serial number and proper bearing depends on which serial number your has. This contributes to my theory that Mitsubishi new about the crankwalk problem and made changes to the crankshaft & bearings from 95-99.

It should be stamped on the crank, on the #1 arm.

I am pulling the crank this morning so I will take a look.........I was told the codes are stampped on the block,the tranny and the oil pan flange.If anyone has more info it would be greatly apprieciated.

Well thanks for the help guys....but I found them on the Bottom of the engine under the oil pan.Soi I guess this thread can be closed
