Ok my friend has a 96 ford ranger xlt 3.0L and they have no intakes he can buy... so he's gonna make a cai, but we wanted to know what are some good materials to use, and are there any how-to articles anywhere for this?

How much money does he want to spend? You could go stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, aluminized steel...

i was going to do that, the pvc wont melt being next to the engine now will it?

and if im going with a sort of metal, where can i get it bent?

what i did with my n/a rx7 was buy a cheap caintake on ebay off of a prelude and choped it up and threw away what i didnt need. Just use your imagination and have fun :)
