Before putting on a UIC and a 1G BOV my car was reaching about 14 pounds of boost. Now that i put on th etwo parts listed my car was running good or so i thougt. I took my car out for a hard run and i really didn't pay attention to my boost gauge until last night. I out ran a mustang by the way, anyhow, when i was paying close attention to the gauge i was like hitting 21 psi in 3rd through 5th. 1st and second spinned even when i was doing like 50 in 2nd. 1st and 2nd gear i am reaching about 16psi to 18psi. My problem is coming when the boost really kicks itself open through the final gears. If i get into it real hard the boost jumps from 0 to 21 not all in one move but it holds 21 psi when i want it to then slacks down to about 19.5-21 somewhere through there. I came back to the house and pulled the wires well two of them to check on the plugs again. The wire like sperated from the plug boot. I shoved them back together and started up the car and it sounded like a train, then the check engine light came on. I took them completly off and put on my old wires that i took off when i first bought the car, drove to the store excahnged the wires for new ones and the car ran better. But the check engine light still stayed on. And the car after changing the plugs also and wires the car still acted like it would quit then fire up again at HIGH boost. Could this be fuel cut? Do i need to rewire the fuel pump to help flow more fuel to the motor or what? It just does this when the boost is extremly high from 19 and up. Other than that and the check engine light that is my only problem. PLease let me know something guys. later
