So I bought a remanfactured stereo for my 1991 Talon. The wire harness wont plug in though. Is there a difference between the 1G and 2G stereo's? As far as wire harnesses go anyways?

First off what is it you are trying to do, put a 2g stereo in your 1g with the stock harness. I know that your best bet is to get the stock harness from the 2g stereo split the wires and match them with your stock wires. You can also try a stereo shop and see if they have an adapter to convert it. Why not go back with the 1g stereo it will make everything much easierfor you and you just have to plug it in and turn on the beats. That is if you have you stereo code to activate the system. :thumb: :rocks:

I didnt know it was a 2g stereo at the time. Otherwise I would of bought a Different one.

Well your best bet is to try and get an adapter for or like I said try to get the 2g wire harness with plug and try to match with your 1g harness. Its going to be alot of rewiring but if thats to much work you might think of getting an aftermarket stereo with a wire harness that plugs into your stock harness, less wiring and it doesn't need a code to turn on. :thumb: :rocks:

Can I call the dealership to get the code, and does the bottom CD Player have to be the one that came with the radio deck?
