Hey guys,

I have a pretty much stock 2g GST (dejon tool intake & 1g BOV are only mods so far). I wanted to get opinions on a turbo-back exhaust system. Which application would be best for general street, everyday use but would provide the most performance without much maintenance? I plan to upgrade to a BIG 16G turbo in the future, but have the stock turbo for the time being. I am interested in the VRS 3" turbo-back, but welcome any suggestions or comments. Also, is the O2 eliminator an advantage or should I stick with the basic setup?

Also any ideas on the RSR exhaust systems are wlecome. I am looking for a quiet exhaust, but one that is street legal as well. Are all of the RSR downpipes "long" and therefore not for street use?

Thanks,

~B :dsm:

Lets hear some response... I have the exact same question.

On a 3" exhaust is there going to be too much boost spike/creep to deal with?

Any cheaper suggestions for mufflers that aren't too loud? Resonator or no? Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I really am looking at the exact same situation.

I'd say regardless of brand, go for a 3" 02 eliminator. Your B16g will like you much better if you get rid of the 02 housing, plus theyre great for getting rid of boost creep. If you go 3" now, you won't ever have to worry about upgrading.

I'm guessing youre talking about the RSR that replaces the cat? If so, any downpipe that eliminates the cat is not street legal. (But you'll get so much more power with the cat gone)

I'm not too sure what you mean by "maintenance" on the exhaust??

I'm sure you know that several things come into play when deciding for an exhaust?

I love my buschur exhaust. I have hadthem on both my cars and I love the quaillity and sound of it.
It'll come with the o2 eliminator,dp, catless (if you want and).
Killer set up. :thumb:

Try www.kteller.com Get the resonator welded into the"B"pipe and get a Magnaflow muffler. I have this system and it is quiet. Priced right also. Tell them mark swietoniowski recommended them!

Def go with thermal....i got a 3inch thermal catback with a 3inch dp and a catdelete pipe and im so happy with it. nothing sounds better then that exhaust

I suggest VRS. They are by far one of the best places to deal with. I have been buying exhaust systems and parts from them for over 2 years, and never once had a problem. And they ship out turbobacks etc within 3-5days after ordering, sometimes faster.
