I am thinking of upgrading my exhaust to 3in. when i get the money soon but i want the SS look and the muffler that goes to our cars. I have a 2g AWD. I was wondering if anyone out there has run a Apex GT DP with the 3in. Buschur cat-back and if so how do they match up if at all. I am wondering cause i want the Apex cause it eliminates the Cat but the buschur DP doesn't. Also i like the SS option of the Buschur exhaust but the Apex SS exhaust is a bit expensive but the DP is about the same price as Buschur's SS DP at $300 but i found a cheaper GT DP for $225. Hope someone out there has some info. Thanks.

Yeah i can buy a test pipe for it but again that is more money. I am looking at the GT pipe cause i found one for $225, but the buschur alone is $300 plus $25-50 for a test pipe. Is there anyone out there that has done this combo? My friend and I are actually both thinking about doing it. Just trying to find out if anyone did it and how it hooked up.

I don't know where you got your info but everything i read says stainless! "The GT downpipe is built from 304 Stainless. (2G only) Downpipes are 2.5" first bend that goes up to 3" after the flex pipe and eliminate the cat-converter" quoted from DSMotorsports webpage. Quoted from DSM Tuners parts catalog "Aluminized steel -N1- or stainless steel -GT- downpipe with flex section", But if you can tell me why you say that, i am interested!

I had read when I was looking at Downpipes that the GT was aluminized and the N1 was the Stainless... the website was not Apex'i's so you are correct.

I apologize and I quote from their website

A'PEX Front Pipes are available in two different grades. N-1 Front Pipes are manufactured using aluminized steel and treated with high-temperature titanium particle coating. GT Front Pipes are constructed entirely of SUS 304 stainless steel. A'PEX Front Pipes are for race use and only meant for use with Apex exhaust systems.

my sincere apologies.

Get the GT if you can afford it and are NOT thinking of a cat...
I can vouch for Apex'i products being top shelf.

Yeah I was pretty sure i was right about the GT pipe being stainless but the GT catback is really expensive and i still want the SS pipe for Catback but it seems that no one has done a GT DP with a buschur racing SS catback. So if anyone out there has done this combo i would like to know how well it worked out for you and how little or much trouble it was. If no one has done it, i guess i will post about my experience when i actually buy it and do it.

there was a vendor link on here a while back that was selling full 3-inch mandrel bent turbo backs for $500..
