There so many, I plan to get larger then the 550's, but you have the 650's , 660's and the 680's Im looking at. Why are the 660's more money then the 680's.? Then 660's are the Greedy injectors at $440 OMG , but I hear they are some pretty decent injectors, but I mean if I can get larger injectors for cheaper why not, but I just wanted to hear what your opinions were are the injectors, the ones I was looking at wrere the Precision and Greddy injectors but if you guys no of some better please let me no. Thanks

I'm running fuel injector clinic 650 CCs with my evo3 b16g. They were $299.00 from AGP turbo on sale, but I'm not sure if they are the same price still. So far they have worked great for me. I'm running a GM maft blow through setup, and all I did to adjust for the larger injectors was change the base knob according to the Maft instructions, as well as some basic adjustments once the car idled well. Right now, my idle is right at 750 RPMS, fuel trims are right around 100 percent. I haven't pushed my car WOT to redline just yet since I'm waiting for a few fixes, but @ 20 psi and 6k rpms , my injector duty cycle was around 82 percent if i remember right.

550s are sufficient with proper tuning...(with all other supporting mods, especially a pump, AFPR, FMIC), but 650/660 will put you well on the safe side.

My 2 cents.

these are what i have, and their service is good too, i called them friday, told them i had a 2k mile roadtrip on tuesday, well i had them in my car by monday and put 300 miles on my car monday night to make sure everything was ok (550 injector stuck open, flooding my #3 cylinder, so i figured might as well upgrade) price isn't too bad either.

I think the 660s cost more because they're typically Densos which is what I have. I think GReddy and Blitz are just repackaged Densos. I've never heard anything bad about them and I believe they are the best, but people with FIC that cost much less claim they are just as good. I have heard a couple of horror stories about them though, but never about Denso. The flow numbers are usually a little overrated with the FIC, or PTE's from what I have read on here.

660ish (650-680) is going to be about the biggest a S-AFC can handle with a stock ECU. I don't see any point with using 550's at all since the prices are so similar. And people have maxed out 550's with an EvoIII, so why bother.

Here are the mods with the Set up :

3inch turbo back
Type-s w/ Greddy UICP
Injen intake
Ported Evo O2 housing
Ported SBR manifold
Ported Evo 16g
255 pump
AVC-R
S-AFC
Pocket logger
Aeromotive Fpr with all the fittings and guage
Holding off on the FMIC for a few months, plan on getting the 2g SBR kit. I want to run a good solid set-up and if the Greddy/Denso 660's are the way to go then I just might as well go that way, in the future I also plan on getting dsmlink and either a 50trim or a GT35 or something along those lines.

That's pretty much where I was a few months ago. You'll be in the 240-260whp range on pump with boost in the high teens. The FMIC will help a lot, netting you 20-30 more.

Correct, for the price it makes sense to go bigger and be safe. However, Hallman ran a 11.9 at 114mph with 450's and a 20g, and when he upgraded to 550's he was able to run 11.5 so it can be done, but with the price only being 10-25 dollars more, you might as well get the bigger injectors.

Ya Greddy are more because like said are denso. They are a great injector & I've never heard any bad things about them but you pay alot more. For the price I would recommend FIC 650's. They are similar to the PTE 680's except they change the end's to fit properly, thats why there more expensive and they flow more then the PTE's. With FIC if you get the 650cc they will probably flow 650cc and some see more then their rated. For PTE if you get the 680's your actual flow is around 630cc or so according to the comp. settings for DSMLink. With an SAFC I would say its best to stick in the 6XX range, otherwise their going to be hard to control.

I run the EVOIII. Check my profile. I was maxing out my RC550's and bumped the fuel pressure to 49psi (vac line unplugged) and problem solved. If I had to do it over, I would get denso 660's though.

You have to be sure your fuel system can handle it though. Mine can. :thumb:

Wow, awesome times. But what I meant to say was on pump gas in a daily driver. I am assuming this guy was using race gas, perhaps something better then a S-AFC and stock ECU combo, and a lightened 1G AWD right?

I used RRE's guide when I bought mine from them.

Well yes and no to your post. However, what I basically meant was it could be done, but for safety and pump gas reasons you might as well go with 650's since the price is only 10-25 dollars more.

Ok, I've read a few horror stories about FIC injectors during cold starts, (winter time) on this forum. I've heard people recommend Denso because thats what the stockers are. Those injectors have lasted at least 100,000 miles, so Denso gets my vote and $$ when im ready for my 660's :thumb:
