Ok, this sucks. I've got my MBC set to 15-16 psi, holds steady, no spiking etc. But I'm hitting fuel cut at like 5300 rpms, which leaves 1700rpms before redline  .

I am running stock 14b, 3" turbo back (test pipe), K&N, free mods, and TurboXS MBC.

How can I delay fuel cut to 7000rpms? If I get larger injectors, an S-AFC, and a bigger fuel pump will that work?

I don't want to completely remove fuel cut so I don't want the TMO ECU mod (and I don't have EPROM). What about the HKS Defencer? How much will that delay it?

Would 550's, fuel pump, S-AFC, and the HKS FCD together be overkill? Or will it work wonders? I have the money to spend, I need to delay this damn fuel cut, so PLEASE HELP!

Thanks,
Jason

Your on the right track... but from what I understand Feul Cut occurrs when the engine begins to miss counts of air. Or I guess better stated would be if it feels the MAS is being outflowed, or more air is going in than what it can safely count. The HKS is a good idea on how to prevent feul cut. It has a trimmer switch which puts feul cut later and doesnt fully eliminate it. With all the feul mods you will still get feul cut. There is a mod of hacking the MAS and removing a resistor in it to eliminate it but I strongly suggest against it. If you have the money git the feul upgrades anyway... you will eventually want more power out of this car any way. A better solution is convert it from Kharman to B-MAP. This will adjust to your boost levels and will eliminate feul cut, dunno how safe that is but it flows much better!!

I ran into the same thing several months ago. The easy way to put off fuel cut and to get more power is to get the fuel pump, AFC, and bigger injectors. Also with the AFC you can hack the maf more to put off fuel cut even farther, and that will also reduce the ammount of restriction at the maf, so the turbo will breath easier. The hks fcd just leans out the engine at all rpm's and throttle settings, It won't do anything better than the afc.

Ok, so getting the HKS Fuel Cut Defencer and the S-AFC together would be a waste right? Because they basically do the same thing? How exactly would I tune the AFC to do what the FCD does? Lean out the mixture through all RPM's? This would only be safe with larger injectors right?

I think you got the idea. With the afc and big inj. you will have to lean out the settings to compensate for the extra gas the big inj put in. The leaner AFC settings just tells the ecu that there is less air going in than there actually is, so the ecu thinks it's still far from fuel cut. That's the basic upgrade secret; add more unmetered fuel and add more uncounted air, just make sure the ammounts are balanced. I run 25 psi at the track and don't hit fuel cut. 550 cc injectors add about 20% more fuel, so start by going about 20% leaner on the afc settings, depending on if you're lean or not with the current setup. Fuel tuning takes some knowledge and experience with you own setup, so try not to change too much at the same time.

:dsm: if your running a stock MAS..then take out the lower honycomb(the rounded one)..thats known to help the fuel cut..it worked for me..
