Another Anti-lag thread :)

I was reading through some of the anti-lag threads, and I think I basically picked up this:
To work, "off the line", the people using dsmlink/standalones pull somewhere between 15 to 20 degrees of timing out, and add 5% more fuel.

I recently bought some parts from a local guy, and wit it was kind of a "misc. box of stuff". It has this MSD 8980 timing control computer, that has a preset ignition curve, and a "high speed" ignition curve thats changed via pills. It retards ignition anywhere from 0-22? degrees, depending on the pill, at the push of a button. I know some local honda guys that use it for nitrous use.

So I was thinking, if I install the box with say, a 15 degree pill, and had my afc dump 5% more fuel, while I was on the 2step, this should basically be anti-lag, and build some significant boost, correct?

15 degrees is a lot I think. I shot out a flame large enough that it got my attention when it was night time when I had put in 15 degrees retard without adding fuel. Your plan is basically how antilag works, but it really isn't needed with small turbos because they spool up quickly enough off the line with stutterbox that the lessened lag isn't worth the beating you put on the turbo. And if you aren't awd then the extra boost is gone after you let off the gas and open the BOV from spinning your tires uncontrollably. So what I am saying is see what you think of the two step before you spend all the effort of getting the antilag switch wired in.

well, your pulling timing off the line, which i sgood for avoiding detonation and allowing the spark to fire later, dumping exhaust into the manifold, but you need a effective way to give it more fuel at the touch of the same button, which the afc cannot do. stick with the regular 2-step and slip the clutch, unless your going rallying

Thats the only crux I could see that'd have to be overcome. I'm sure it would be easy enough to figure out something though.
