my buddies 95' gsx has some issues that i'm having some problems ironing out! when the car had 550's and a big 16g it ran 13.00's@105! but since then he has added my old 50trim, 1000cc injectors, front mount intercooler, and hks 264/272 cams! the problem is the car is not a lick faster! i mean this thing will cut 13.00's@106 every single time! also what is strange is the car has some overheating problems! at first we thought the thermostat was the problem, but turns out the car still pushes 220deg. temps at the end of each pass and that's with the thermostat removed from the housing!
my first thought was a bad head gasket but the compression test shows other wise! is it possable to have a blown head gasket and the compression still be good?
we're not used to not being able to figure stuff out, and this is really busting my chops in a major way! any help or ideas would be great! i'm calling head gasket but i'm not quite sure...what do ya'll think?
