dude, it just looks like it's coming from the valve cover... it's actually connected to the intake manifold like normal

The head hose goes to that filter and then towards the ground. If you look closely you can see that the hose from the BOV goes to the Intake manifold.

Not that I am being a wise ass, but I theorized that if you connect up the bov tube to the "head" and the vacuum tube just hanging there with a filter attached to it :) :

- As soon as the car is started, it will idle like a chainsaw with bad gas and a foul plug.

- when you drive off and you shift from first, you gonna introduce numerous shaft play to the turbo, the bov will not open with vacuum and the car will buck like a bronco in heat.....

Am I correct?

Seriously, what's the difference what effect it has...it doesn't belong there, so don't worry about it...

Mike, with your car running, disconnect the Vacuum hose at the bov...... yep, thats how the car will idle like $h:)t (no offense moderator).

Now with the hose of the bov, drive for a block..... yep, that's how it will drive like a komatsu bulldozer.

Now connect the bov hose to the valve cover breather and drive...... yep it will run like a cat with two legs.
