ive rebuilt my motor and am in the process of hooking everything up now that its back in the car. however im not sure what this connection is for on the intake manifold bracket that goes between the manifold and the block. theres just a black and white wire that are bolted to the bracket, and the other side of the connection goes into the main harness around the manifold/injectors. if anyone knows what this is id appreciate it, i was planning on leaving this bracket off, but i dont want to leave this thing unconnected.

dont leave the bracket off... you can run the risk of a cracked manifold.... plus that bracket has the plug that works your RPMs... (for lack of a better term) but it should just be a little plug right off the main harness that goes over to your coil pack and ignitor chip..... there is an extra plug down there too, i think its for some emissions junk, so if you dont have a cali. it wont have anything to be plugged into, it should allreday be taped down to the harness anyway.....

If you look closley you will see that the wires connect to a Capacitor, that is only there for noise supression, your car will run fine without it, I have several DSMs and some have it and some do not, I beilive it was a early modle part that was later abolished into the electrical system in later years.

typically I take the cap off of the bracked and just stuff it into the harness on the firewall.
