After taking a closer look at my block after honing the cylinders I found some spots that appear to have not been hit by the hone at all. It is up at the top of the cylinder and it is only in one cylinder. There is a thin short band of cylinder wall that appears to have not been touched by the hone at all. Is this going to cause a problem?

you should be fine, it sounds like you have a slight gouge in the cylinder wall for whatever reason, but as long as its not real deep or very long i would consider it normal wear and go ahead with it......... :dsm:
