Finally all the parts came in and I got the SBR street kit installed. I still need to figure out what I'm going to do with the PS lines (I think I am going to use a length of fuel hose to replace the PS loop) but once I do that and get the bumper and stuff put back on I'm good to go. I decided to bite the bullet and pull the A/C, lots more room in there now ..

The fluidyne radiator showed up today, it's purrrty. The Dejon VPC pipe is also excellent quality, I wasn't expecting it to look as good as it does ..

The street core hung up:

Blow-thru with MAFT attached to the clutch line bracket. Seemed like a good place to mount it since there's a screwhole there.

My ghetto solution to relocating the coolant bottle .. kind of looks like ass but less ghetto than a gatorade bottle .. :D :D

I'm not diggin' the angle the TB elbow is at shown in the second pic.

are u kidding me? all of our throttle body elbow's bend like that and his has maybe 10 more degrees to it. it seriously is not a problem. I wish SBR or someone made a street kit for 2g's. lookin good bro.

No I am not kidding. No our TB elbows don't bend like that, and no I did not say it was going to be a problem. However, I would not expect that out of SBR. After having my SMIM crack however, I just prefer everything to fit a little better than that.

That is like a stock bend... I think it's fine. Looks good what are the measurments on that core? I have the dejon race kit and I have to say I love it but sometimes I wish I would have gone with the sbr kit. I always go back and forth though. Looks good. :thumb:

The TB elbow that came with the kit is "misaligned" slightly compared to the angle of the lower pipe but it went together okay, the silicone couplers bend a little bit and take the slack out of it .. they aren't kinked or anything. The only complaint I have about the kit is that you have to use a stud on the lower right hole of the TB elbow (the kit *does* include the stud) because you can't get a bolt through the hole anymore due to the angle of the bend coming off the elbow. It's a tight fit but otherwise no trouble.

put the long bolt in first you know with the elbow like off then you can put the other three bolts in. :thumb: That's how I have to do it on my dejon.

Looks good. My roomie had a helluva time getting his short-route FMIC on because he has ABS. That turbo could only be a 20G.

I couldn't get the bolt through the hole regardless of whether I had the elbow on or off the car.

The turbo is a 20G. :thumb:

Whats the sensor that looks like it might be tapped into the head. Right next to the #4 runner.

BTW setup looks awesome :thumb:

I'm pretty sure slowboy knows what there doing!

Kalla-

Good work! Please keep us updated with pics and info as the project comes to an end. I'd like to know how it performs with the 20g you have (saw it in your profile). The FMIC I chose initially might not be enough so I'm looking for better options.

Was there no way to keep the A/C at all?

Thanks

2g street core is in the works :thumb:

As well as a GVR4 kit :shhh:

It would be better to have longer straight section before hitting the throttle body, but then you would have to relocate the battery.

That sucks, when I got my "race" core, my black couplers didn't have the "SR" logo on them... :p

I wonder why..

The pressure line on the driver's side would have needed to be redone/rerouted and I didn't want to suffer through that so I just pulled the A/C. It really cleans up the engine bay :thumb:

Looks great! I love my SBR kit!

For the PS lines in my car, I drove over to Summit Racing (my real home is around there) and bought a Permacool powersteering cooler. Saves tons of room and never gets hot. I mounted it in the drivers side duct. If you are curious I can supply pics.

Looks great. Are you going do descreen the MAF? I'm going to switch to blow through and short route piping fmic like yours, but I can't make up my mind about the MAF. Chunks of screen through the IM could really ruin your day.

So you can't keep a/c with the intercooler kit? Shit i ordered the race core kit but I thought you could keep your a/c. I dont have power steering but i wanna keep a/c for hot summers here in GA.

You CAN keep the a/c, you just need to repostion the a/c lines on the drivers side where the IC somes through the front crossmember around the rad, and replace your stock a/c fan with a slimline.

Like he said, you can keep the A/C, however the AC line on the driver's side will need to be repositioned to make room for the IC pipe. I didn't feel like bending (and probably breaking) the stock A/C line so I just got rid of the A/C altogether.

you couldnt get some more pics of your plumbing could u? im in the process of doin the same thing to my 92 and I would like just a general idea. Thanx
