Turbo/manifold suggestions?

My turbo recently blew. It was a Hahn 20g and I would like to get a new turbo without downgrading. Im looking to have it boost 15-20 psi on the streets and a little more at the track. My current exhaust manifold is cracked so Im looking at getting a new manifold too. There is a stainless tubular manifold made by stone mountain racing and it says its garanteed not to crack. It requires a external wastegate. Its a t3/t4 flanged mani. So im thinking about something that will bolt up to that. I have heard alot of good things about the big 16g and the evo VIII 16g but would it be able to produce the boost I want? I know if I went with that I would have to look at a different manifold. There are t3/t4 turbos that are made by xs racing but I have heard bad things about these turbos. Also has anyone used or heard of the Borgwarner t3-t04e 54 trim turbo, that would go with this manifold im interested in. If anyone has one of these turbos or manifolds how is it treating you? Any suggestions on where to go with this? Thanks!
 
Definatly do not get any turbo from xs power, they're junk. I would stick to something with a mitsubishi housing, Direct bolt on.. If you are looking for just a replacement. I personally have the garett t04b v-trim from www.bullseye-power.com and love it. I recommend checking out their site.

As for a manifold, It depends how much you are allowed to spend, I went with the SBR manifold, Their newest one. It is huge and definatly worth the money.

ANYthing Stone Mountian Racing = POS!!

Those manfolds are made from like 0.042" thick wall when they should be made from .090"-.125" wall tubing.

Those WILL crack!! STAY AWAY!!
 
Stick with what has been proven. A 2G, Evo, or SBR Cast manifold will do the trick. As for turbos, go with a 50-trim hybrid. Bolts up perfect, and will put down the power I am sure you are looking for. Good luck. :thumb:
 
Ok, That manifold isnt stone racing but is sold by ssautochrome. It says its made of stainless steel, and is 2.7mm thick. Sounds like its strong to me, does anyone have this manifold? Will a 2g ported manifold flow enough to boost 20+psi? Thanks
 
Im boosting 18 on a ported 2g mani and o2 housing. Ported the heck out of it myself. The runners are much larger than that on the 1g! I even ported into the turbo part. I cant imagine anything flowing anymore.
 
Yes,

You can crank the boost up to 20+psi on a 2g manifold, That is if you have the mods to do so, Of course.

Stay away from ssautochrome/pacesetter as they well crack very fast, I learned the hard way.

If you want a huge manifold you do not even hafto port, Go with the SBR manifold. It's really nice.
 
Ok, I think im going with a ported 2g manifold. Will the evo big 16g bolt right up to that? They come with internal wastegates right. Also will this turbo flow 20psi easily? Thanks

Either go with the EVO3 Manifold its cheaper then 2g or go with the polished DNP header I sell. They do not crack and spool up quicker than an evo3 manifold.

an e316G will be VERY efficient at 20 psi and come from the factory with an internal flapper :thumb:

I have evo 3 manifolds for 169. normally way more expensive
