Valve Cover Question??

^ ^ ^ Room Temperature Vulcanizing silicone sealant. There's about ten to choose from, and the old reliable 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive, or Gorilla Snot. And of course MoPar has their own specific blend. I think I just used the Permatex black. It's not dealing with a lot of pressure nor heat.

You don't need much on a valve cover, just around the cam bore plug and where the cover gasket meets the corners of it. Don't try to use it on the whole gasket, nor on the inside of the gasket to hold it on the cover. And be very very careful when tightening down the screws for the cover, particularly the ones inside near the spark plug wells. Pretend the goddamned thing's made out of porcelain. You can always give it a little more snug later.

Yes :D 3m super weather strip... I love that stuff

I use that on smallblock and vortech v8 water pumps... Its the only thing that keeps the damn gaskets lined up on the pump untill you can get the bolts thru.

Defiant is on the ball....

the black stuff color corordinates better.. Just be sure to brake clean the flat aluminum surfaces.... It dont stick to oil too well.

Use brake cleaner or acetone or similar non-residual cleaner to get all the oil off the surfaces you need to apply sealant to, because oil will keep it from sticking and making a good seal.
