Hey guys im now trying to take the Talon to a newer level. I have enough modifications done to the Talon where having a form of tuning power and ability is necessary. Im not sure if the 1990 ECU's accept EPROM chips or any form of piggy back software, loggers or whatever they may be called. For someone like me that is currently using factory computers to control the engine, what option of any kind do i have to tune my car, whether it be standalone, piggy back, etc... Let me know as this part of modifications is still new to me... Thank you

You can use a piggy back like the apexi afc or a gm maft which might be a little easier to tune. I dont think you would need a stand alone yet but if you really wanted one you can get one as well :talon:

a standalone is by far out of your league. Some 90 cars had eprom ECU's, but its pretty rare. You can run a datalogger just like any other year, and a Maft or S-AFC setup, search for info on both of those, as well as the datalogger. That just consists of a special cable, some software you can get free, and a laptop or palm pilot.

So the purpose of getting a GM MAF sensor is to having tuning ability?? I see a lot of you have them...
