Ok my turbo is just about dead. So i am going to go ahead and buy the big16g from eccentric motor sports. My question is with the mods i have done now will i be able to run this turbo safely with the boost around 14 or 15psi. I am going to do the fuel pump rewire mod and replace all the vacuum lines when i install the new turbo. i don't have a boost controller, but i figured i would make a dinky one that would work intil i can afford a joe p., or hallman. (new turbo really kills a 17 year olds funds). So any of you guys got any suggestions or warnings that could help me out?

14 or 15 should be okay but I would replacve the fuel pump to be safe.

man...a manual boost controller is like 50 bucks, but i feel the no money thing...remember those days. why not get a used 14b on ebay/junkyard, buy the boost controller, port the hell outta the turbine housing, rewire the fuel pump, and run 14 psi (use best gas available). have fun with that cheap set up for a while and save up for your future set up. people have/can go higher boost but chill out for a while until you learn what you are doing and get that pump in there.

get a 190 fuel pump <yes you need one> it should be enough for your set up with the stock injectors but ones past 17 or 18 time for injectors

talonracer how many miles does ur car have? that can be one reason that u have to get a fuel pump cuz if u run to much bosst not enough fuel u can fry ur pistons and spin a bearing

Mileage is nothing :D Speaking for my 190,000 mile motor..

Fuel pump, and a rewire will do it.. But for the big16g I dunno man.
I would recommend a small 16g over a big. But thats just me. Not really worth the extra lag for the little gain in power.

If you plan on going really fast in the future get another 14b port it, and run it until it dies, by that time you will be ready for a real setup

But if the Big16 is what you have your sights set on. Then the more to ya. ;)
