Different turbo in auto then 5spd?

A friend of mine has a 91 talon tsi awd but its an auto. The turbo was changed by the previous owner so we dont know if it has the smaller turbo or the bigger turbo that was in the 5 spd. How can we tell by looking at it? Is there any numbers that are different on it then the tdo5h?

I'm pretty sure that the autos have TD04 stamped on the comp housing and the manuals have TD05 stamped on them. Usually!

I belive the autos had a 13G or 13B I can't remember the letter but it's a 13-something.

Yes TD04 is what it says on the housing as opposed to the TD05 on the 5 speeds
