Turbo Kit

undefinedundefined thespeedfactor has a garrett turbo kit for $1350. it includes a SBR manifold, EVOIII 02 housing, Garrett install kit and a SCM Series turbo of your choice. it says you have to modify your down pipe flang to worth it. to me this sounds pretty good. anyone heard about this setup or suggestions on whether or not i should get it because i'm leaning towards it. would i have to modify anything to my 2g?

Can you make a list of your mods? Im too lazy to look in your profile. Also, is the SBR manifold a T3T4 or mitsu flanged? I think your talking about the mitsu flanged one but I just want to make sure. Also, what are your goals for the car so we can suggest the turbo for your goals?

One more thing, is the turbo going to be an internal wastegated turbo?

it's internally gate. 12s is my goal because i use my car daily. i have down pipe, exhaust, upper & lower i/c piping, greddy type s bov, ingen intake. i don't plan a putting it on now because i still need front mount, fuel pump, boost contr., afc, etc. the thing is the sale ends tomorrow so should i jump on it and not put it on until i get the other supporting mods.

Well, I can't speak much for the kit as I haven't seen it in person, but Martin and The Speed Factor are damned good. I've known Martin for over a year in person, he has always been helpful and helped me find parts, motors, etc when I was having a bit of trouble. The only complaint I ever heard about them was handled pretty immedietly (it wasn't even their fault, the parts they sent were good, the kid just had a not so healthy car but they worked with thim to try and get it running right), so :bigthumb: to SF

Injectors, and a bunch of friends have bought things from them. I also know where Martin hangs out, so if he screws you, I'll break his legs for $50.

i picked up a turbo/fmic setup form him and i have nothin to bi*** about.. and the quality is 100%. even when my turbo got jackd up i sent it right back to him he handled it form thre and i had it in about 2 weeks back from pte.. and it runs strong..

I didn't purchase Martin's kit, but I am running a t3/t4 with a mitsu style housing on a evo3 manifold and evo3 o2 housing, both ported out. I'm happy with the set up. If you're looking to do something like that purchasing all the pieces all at once probably isn't a bad thing.
