I keep wanting to get a 50trim, but i am about to order the t3/04b from bullseye simply becaue the t04b compressor is smaller and fits

Does anyone have a 50trim that fits? Seems like everyone has to buy new fans, which i DO NOT WANT TO DO, or dent a water pipe, and so on

I will have it dumping down, so does anyone have one that really fits?

I'm having trouble putting mine on, but it's nothing rotating the housing and cutting a part of the stock fan off won't fix. :D It's an RS49 from AGP.

is there some that have better placement of the wastegate so it doesnt get in the way as much? I see that the wastegate could be the biggest problem as it sticks out into the fans

I dont mind trimming th fan shroud, but if i have to replace it with something thin, i would be pissed

Mine would dump straight down to an IC pipe that would go over to the drivers side for the FMIC

Well you may need a slim fan, that's one of the things that comes along trying to replace the small factory turbo with a bigger one.

You may need to get pissed becuase you will prbably need one.

Mine from Slowboy fits. I didn't want to trim my stock fan shroud, so I bought one from Advanced Auto for $60.00.

ii have a 50 pte internally gated

it fit without banging waterpipe.. and KEEPING STOCK FANS.. you just gotta hack it.. a lot.. but it will work.. so if people say other wise.. trust me and others have done it as wel.. another person who did this logged the temp and said it was the same before/after hackin the fan/blades..

good luck if u have the money just get slim line.. i was poor

I have the AGP RS49 50 trim. All I had to do was dent the water line slightly. I removedthe drivers side fan which is the AC fan and have never overheated even with the air on though I don't run it long as I do notlike cold air. I would not let these minor mods stop me from getting one of the best perfrming turbo's for the DSM. Mark

it gets really hot here so i rather not remove any of them

I was hoping maybe one companies would have better placement of the wastegate

I was thinking of the SBR thicker new evo looking manifold to clear the water pipe, but that would push it even further into the fans

These 50 trims are just huge

Also, when are you guys starting to see boost in 3rd gear, and full boost?

Just get a thin fan. I was getting fullboost less than 3800 but it's been a couple months and I have a 2.5" exhaust so I may not be the best representation.Mark

what about the piping fiting? Do the fans get in the way of the piping?

If you run the stock type of piping, you might need to hack the main fan a little, but nothing that effects how it performs (just one of the thin brackets nearest the turbo).

i want to run it down and out to the drivers side for a FMIC

Does it go over the lower crossmember or under?

I went with a thin FAL fan with 50 trim. Didn't want to bother with cutting up the stock ones.

i have 50 trim and it fits just fine, stock fans no denting the waterpipe or anything

detail? Which 50trim and how did you accomplish this

I have an scm61 and I just removed the AC fan. 4 bolts and a harness.... You don't really need it anyways unless you run your AC a lot but for me removing the fan wasn't a big deal at all and you can fit a huge turbo in there now ;)

wat 50 trim is this? stock fans meaning u hacked it to fit? i know for sure u couldnt leave the stock fan in there without cutting a lot of it off.. shrouding and blades.. i know first hand..

u guys might live in perfect weather, but i cant afford to remove an ac fan when it gets 105* in the summer here, sorry, not gonna happen

so where is the fit a problem, the passenger side where the turbo/wastegate hits it, or the drivers side because of piping fit???

AC fan is drivers side on a 1G, just replace it with a slim fan like a SPAL> Mark

I am glad I caught this thread. I am going to go with a AGP RS52. Now I know a little more info when I install it later on.

I installed an AGP RS49 this past July/August and will be glad to help when the time comes. mine is on a 1G though. very nice turbo's. mark

I just put the pte 5031e on my car saturday, you don't have to dent the water pipe much but I will say one thing I haven't read anywhere else. I broke the seal on my water pipe were it goes into the water pump. I assume the vibrations from me wailing on the water pipe a few times broke the seal. Its a very small leak...and I hope I can just put some silicone around the joint and fix the leak. I sure would hate to take the water pipe off now since I didn't find it till after I got everything back together. Here's my pics.
