hi i am thinking of buying a BOV dont know if greddy s or hks ss or some other one. But How important is it? and what else is require with that a UIC pipe? bigger exhaust? all i have in mi car is:

K&N FIPK
3" muffler- the rest is stock, catback etc.
intake pipe- (not installed):)
joe p MBC - (not installed):)

DO i need one?????????

You will! :) The reason being is that your stock (POS) plastic bov starts to leak around 14 or so psi. You wont be able to hold any high amount of boost. I think they have a lot about it in the vfaq.. (www.vfaq.com) ..anyway, as far as needing anything, I would suggest getting a new upper i/c pipe at the same time as your bov, just because of the flanges used.. it makes things a little easier... oh yeah, do you have an aftermarket boost gauge installed?? i would suggest it if you are installing a MBC.... Hope this helps! :D

Thanks can you recomend me the best BOV for my car and where i can get it at the best prize? ALso a dumb question how is called the exhaust pipe that come from the catalytic to the muffler catback or downpipe?
cause i buy a 3 inch muffler and i think installation will be a ***** on the stock 2.5 pipe?

If you want a BOV that will hold boost well and sound good you will want to go to with the Greddy Type S. That's because it routes back to your intake. If you want it to be loud go with the TurboXS RFL. It is really loud but doesn't route back to your intake so you may or may not have problems with it. Many people don't have too many problems with the RFL because it holds pretty well with the washers.

The pipe that you may be talking about is the downpipe. It comes down from the exhaust manifold. Then the downpipe goes to your cat then to your exhaust. If you are getting a 3in. muffler then just go 3in from the dp back.

so what is really the catback??? another thing will a eclipse strut bar fit on a talon 2g both? but please tell me if you are 100% sure!!

i heard theres a site that sells the uip with the 1st gen bov, is this true?
if it is, wat site. i looked all over but i counldnt remember where i saw it or if i even saw it, i might be trippin

1G BOV's suck!......just not quite as bad as the stock 2G ones. ;)

I want the Greddy Type R....but I have a 2G Greddy Type S....anyone wanna trade? :D
Get a Type S or something that won't leak. You'll be much happier in the end.

Laters
Jason.

Hey Jason, what is the diff between a type R and type S?
Oh and 96TalonAWD: yes, the strut bar will fit on the Eclipse and the Talon.. I am 100% sure of this. And as far as the catback... it is everything from the cat...back... :) The Catalitic Converter back to the end of the car... it may or may not include the muffler... it will usually say if it does or not....
