I have a 96 GSX. I just bought the Universal 12 Dual radiator fans from Jegs. My question is who to wire them? I have heard a couple different ways to do this. I tried to use the plug from my factory fans to minimize the wiring, and so i could disconnect it easily. Im not really sure what i did wrong but i kept blowing the 30 amp fan fuse? So here's the sich:
The fan has 4 wires two black and two white. I assume high and low. The plug from my stock fans has 4 wires as well 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 blue, 1 black. The plug from the harnes that plugs into the rad plug, has 4 aswell. 1 white w/ blue, 1 white w/ black, 1black, 1 green w/blue. Now what i would like to do if i can is just wire them up to the plug if i can, im not sure if it needs more power or what not but...
So any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Ideally i would like just some instruction on what wires to connect to what.
Oh Btw i dont know if it matters but these are pusher fans and i have no a/c.
Thanx

When I wired in my SPAL fans, I just took a meter reading off of the wire harness. I turned on the AC (That way both fans would be on). I then checked which wires were +12V and ground. I cut the wiring harness of my stock fans and wired both SPAL fans to turn on when normally the passenger side fan would come on. I am not sure of the colors of the wires, but I could check for you.

I have 2 12" slimline FALs on my car and wiring was so simple. I just used the existing wiring harness and soldered 4 wires (2 wires for each fan). They were even color matched (black/blue). I have no problems with fuses blowing...works great.

I need details fellas im kinda crappy at electrical stuff.
thanx again for all your help

hey guys can i get some proper instructions too? i only used two wires of the four wires from the stock harness on the passenger side radiator fan. The fan comes on when norm. temp kicks in but i dont think its blowing full blast. I dont want anymore overheating problems with running a slim line fan. I'm using a 12" slow boy 1250cfm fan and the stock A/c radiator fan. Im skeptical of getting another 12" fan due to overheating possibilities. Maybe you guys could help me out so i can figure out how to wire this fan properly.

thanx. john
