should i upgrade the internals for an L2R turbo?

I ran the L2R on my 172k mile motor w/ no problems... the motor finally let go due to the oil filter blowing off which caused a rod knock.

-Should get rid of that oil cooler and use a safety wire on the oil filter.
 
Actually the L2R will break rods in a stock 2g motor if you run too much boost. The amount of boost you can get away with is dependant on how well you have it tuned. 23-24psi should be safe on race gas, over that you better have it really dialed in.
