Hey guys, i just swapped a 14b into my 2g talon. I bought my car and it came with a profeb b installed. Now before i use my car with the 14b i want to make sure it doesnt overboost or anything. So theres this little black box by whewre my air filter is that says greddy on it. IM guessing trhis is like the boost controllers computer. Comming off of it is two black quite skinny hoses. One just goes straight to the back of my greddy BOV, the other went a few places but unfortunately is now ripped. My questioin is where do i buy new little hoses and where do the hoses conect? Not sure if it matters but remember i have a 14b. All of what i just typed might be crap because i also have a greddy boost gauge and that box by the air filter could be for that, IDK. ALso on the controller itself, how do you know how much boost your allowing when the knobs are whereever they are? Thanks for any help

Goto roadraceengineering and get the larson hoses. Get the 6mm size and 10 ft just to be safe. The black box is the Boost control solenoid. One of the hoses goes to the compressor housing and the other to the acutator. On the solenoid, the hoses should be connected to the "Com" port and the "on" or "no". I can't remember exactly. Look at this tech article:

do u have a MBC or a EBC? if u have a manual boost controller (MBC) then u have to play around with the boost settings and watch your gauges to get the boost set right, if u have a EBC (electronic boost controller) then u should be able to set your boost.

on most MBC's tighten the controllers knob or screw (whatever) up, and for each full turn u loosin it, thats one psi of boost.

i have a 95 tsi awd too - that black box is a BCS (boost control solenoid) it controls your stock boost pressure. it should lead to your BOV, your WGA (waste gate actuator)and to the positive side of your turbo... you can pickup some generic hoses at like an autozone or advanced auto parts but be carful those types of hoses tend to suck together with lots of pressure through them.

let me kno how your 14b install goes i might do one soon myself

A Profec B is an electronic boost controller.

The black box with "Greddy" written on it? No, that's the solenoid for the Profec B. That might have been what you meant, but it looked like you were talking about the stock BCS.
