Ported 1G Exhaust manifold...

Well, since i need to replace some manifold studs (and remove a broken one) my friend was offering me a ported 1G Exhaust manifold.... is it worth it considering nothing else on my car is ported? Will i even notice a difference in spool up etc?

He only wants 20 bucks for it, but i'd hafta wait a bit for it... and i need this done asap...

it's worth it if he knows what hes doing...... if he doesent its going to cost you money and loss of hp. but it will help should help the spooling you want some help spooling up your turbo get a test pipe and get rid on that cat.

Aparently his friend did it, and he's pretty good, the only reason why he's getting rid of it, is because he's getting a 2G manifold... the car is pretty damn quick now...

It should help. I ported mine cause i had my turbo off and all the other crap off. POrted the 14b and the exh manifold at the collector and at the runners where there are bumps and it MUST have helped. My trap speed went from 99 mph to 105 along with running an open exhaust and turning the boost up a lil. So what i'm saying is all the little things will help in the long run in my opinion.

If it's a 1g manifold.. it is either cracked or it will crack.. that is the main reason people go w/ the 2g manifold... the 2gs are made out of a different alloy that is more resistant to cracking.

He's a good friend, it's not cracked, and i'd be sure to check that out first anyways
