magnus 6 bolt swap method

Anyone have a copy of this they could send me through email? Is a 1g oil filter housing needed or will the 2g still bolt up? Do I NEED to switch to a 1g CAS? I need the wiring info too. I had a printout of it a while back but now I can't find it and their site is down. Figures :-/

sorry that I don't have a copy to email. But I do have it printed out here infront of me. Yes you will have to use the 1g CAS and you can find that at http://www.roadraceengineering.com/1gcasin2g.htm. As far as the 2g oil filter housing, you can not use it anymore. Different bolt pattern. You can use a 1g turbo oil filter housing. I found one that allowed me to use the oil cooler from the 2g and I had to "T" a water line up by the thermostat housing. Had no problems, "yet"! Or you can run without an oil cooler and throw away the 2g water lines. If you choose to do that. It is possible that you can get a 1990 oil filter housing for an external oil cooler. I am now about to set this up on my ride. Hope this helps and keep us informed on what you decide to do.

seems like the oil cooler isn't all that necessary. Has anyone had problem with just ditching that all together? Running that line behind my turbo gave me some clearance issues anyways and I bent the hell out of it so I don't know how strong it is anymore anyways.

After checking temp differance between my 7bolt watercooled housing and my 6 bolt oil cooler housing there is no doubt in my mind that the oil cooler setup is far better and IMO your engine is gonna last longer is just runs THAT much cooler.
