i have a 95 eagle talon tsi AWD
ok guys i am going to be running a t/3 t/4 presicion 50 trim turbo and tial 38 mm wastegate set at 6 lbs.. but i have the stock fuel system untill i put in my walbro 255 and 660 cc injectors and map ecu.. just wondering if i will hurt the engine .. if so i will wait until i put in the supporting mods.. any comments would be great.. also wondering were to run my oil line at?? from the oil filter housing or the cylinder head? what is the best place to do it..

For a standard bearing center housing get your oil from the filter housing.

Do your supporting mods before you put the 50trim in. Not saying you cant run it with it with a stock fuel system, but you cant turn the boost up much before maxing out the stock injectors.

For the wastegate spring, get a 1bar spring(14.7 psi) so you dont have issues with it blowing open at 20+psi which youll want to get to if your running a 50 trim.

you can easily run it, but its going to be very boring. And your going to want to up that spring pressure like said above later on, but you really need to feed from the filter housing, PTE voids warranty if they know that you didnt feed from the filter housing.

so are you saying that my boost is going to jump even if i have the 6 lbs spring in it. when i had the turbo on my conquest i would romp on it hard and it wouldnt go past 6 lbs all the way up to 7500 rpm.. and so you think i should just tap in from the oil filter housing?
thanks for the input

You will want to up the boost because it takes time for a 50 trim to spool and building to 6lbs isn't almost worth the 50 trim. Also, if an accident happens and you do spike 20+ boost scenerio then someting is going to give. As far as oil supply, you should be able to use your stock location, just replace it with a stainless steel line.

this is probably a nub question but what is a 1 bar spring is that a wase gae spring or what i am gonna be running a 50 trim on like 20 pounds of boost with all supportng mods do i need to get this i wasnt told i needed it.

No they aren't saying your boost is gonna jump w/ the 6psi spring... they are saying you are gonna have trouble holding the wastegate shut later when you want to run 20+ psi - thus resulting in less then the desired boost.

It sounds like you already have the turbo w/ the 6 psi spring so for now you can put it on if necessary - just make sure to leave it at 6 psi unless you have adequate tuning devices (I personally ran a 50 trim on stock fuel system at 10-11 psi just starting to max out injectors and the car was super fun) However, if u don't NEED to put the turbo on I highly recommend waiting until you have the fuel mods on just to be safe - I on the other hand had a shot 14b and the injectors were a paycheck away so I went ahead and put it on.

Yes - oil from oil filter housing end of story.

Sounds like you've ran this particular turbo w/ 6psi spring so if you are comfortable w/ it there shouldn't be a problem. Just keep an eye on timing, 02's, BOOST (incase it does spike) and whatever else you can in order to not create further problems. Ohh and look into a stronger wastegate cause it sounds like you are gonna be wanting to run a lot more boost then 6 psi (MAP ECU and all) and chances are you'll be blowing it open prematurely and not achieving your desired boost.... Blowing it prematurely sucks man and she won't be happy or respond idealy :p :D

50 trim should have oil from the filter housing. Road race engineering has some pics I believe. AGP sent a nice -4an braided hose with my 50 trim. mark
