Ok well today i just ordered my new 660 injectors and fuel pump b.c i have been fuel cuttin since the new upgraded turbo....im lookin on the priced for the fuel cut elimator??and wheres a good place to get one... thanks... lata :dsm:
 
Ok YOu can sell your S-AFC and save up a bit of cash and get DSMLink. Well and probably a EPROM ECU also. That will help you by leaps and bounds for fuel cut and tuning. I've never used a FCD but I see a lot of people saying not to use them. They basicly just stop your MAF from going over a certain Hz and can cause you to lean out cause of that at higher RPM's.
 
Yeah, fuel cut "defenders" are not really a good option they can only do so well and have to modify the airflow signal to keep it below what the ECU determines to be too much. I'm sure you can see the problem there. The only real proper way to get rid of fuel cut is an EPROM ECU and an aftermarket chip or DSM link. If you do enoug research you will find you can program burn your own chips with a certain $8 network card and a PC with a certain program if you get a good bin to burn to the EPROM. The chips cost like $6 I think.

At that point you also get all the other goodies with a EPROM ECU..stutter box, higher rev limit, some other nifty items you commonly see on aftermarket chips.
 
Currently the 2G ECU disassembly isn't public atm, or so I think. I haven't seen anything really talking about it. Since their is DSM Link most people just get that and call it a day. I personally would rather save the $600 and do my own editing but that is me.

I believe that Jeff O. is now doing some 2G chips though so you could check out www.dsmchips.com and ask him.

And as for useing a NIC card to program your chips.. Don't bother. It's a hugh PITA and you have to do it in DOS which most people either don't know or by now have forgoten how to use. And I'm sure U are going to want to do some turning if you do find out how the fuel and timing tables work, and that requires a lot of burning. I got my USB burner for like $80 and was a very sound investment. Do some searching around and decide for yourself though.
 
You guys are making this way too hard. After he gets the new injectors installed, he'll be able to dial down the AFC and his fuel cut will go away. No extra purchases needed.
