[RESOLVED] Odd place to take a leak....

(I searched: couldn't find info on this leak).

1. Okay, I did a leak test and found a leak coming from the circumferance around the snap ring on the inlet part of the turbo. Most of the sound was coming from the part of the snap ring just next to the oil/banjo bolt that runs on top of the turbo (not the side/lower one).

I haven't been able to run anything over 13 psi with my setup and I know that is bad. I assume this could be a/the contributing factor.

Rebuild, new turbo?

2. On top of that, I found a crack in my ex manny and a ex manny boldt is missing too....Great!!!!

Luckily for me, these are parts that are next to eachother and can be easily done at once....assuming I have the $$ for the parts.

Ideas, suggestions, all would be appreciated...it is going to be a long winter cuz this is my daily driver too...

I would say to get some new exhaust manifold bolts, pick up a 2G exhaust manifold and port it, and look into getting your turbo rebuilt, pick up a nice 14B($100), or, if you have the cash, upgrade your turbo for the long run.

That's what I thought. I'll spend the winter saving/looking for those things. I know I want to upgrade the turbo in the future, but that can be a difference (from a rebuild) of at least 200 bucks, right?

Yeah, I suppose somewhere around there. If you don't have the cash, which I would not either, look in the classifieds or on DSMtrader.com and pick up a 14B for like $100. Most people haven't beat the crap out of their factory turbo's too bad.
