How hard is it to swap a 1G 6bolt turbo fwd 5spd motor into a 1G 7bolt awd automatic turbo car. Will the 7 bolt ecu work? what will need to be swapped, any new parts to buy. any replies greatly appreciated.

Aside from the new flywheel its all pretty much the same.

I'm doing a 7-bolt to a 6-bolt swap, and there is a little difference in where the oil pump plate assembly is, such as where it bolts to the block and there is also a difference in the mounting in the oil filter assembly also where that bolts to the block. But other than that it is the same. And when you don't know this till you put everything up to the block it is FREAKING ANNOYING AS HELL!!

cool beans, thanks guys. I was hoping you were going to say that easy = cheap. A local shop quoted me $350 just labor to do the swap, and i was expecting to get a new flywheel and basic parts.
