for the bottem end i was thinking of going stock w/ 2g pistons and nice rings, and no balance shafts. how many rpms would this be good for?

how high can you rev a freshly rebuilt head? if it is just 7k what needs to be done to make it rev higher?

also what are the differances in a n/t 4g63 short block and a turbo one?

and for the head i need new cams and valves and lifters, would it be cheaper to go stock or aftermarket?

1) A mainly stock bottom end can take 8-8.5K rpms, given that it's balanced correctly.

2) I wouldn't go above stock rev limit with a stock head. You'll need valvesprings/retainers to sustain a higher rev limit without floating the valves. But you probably won't see any improvements with the stock cams at a higher rpm range. You'll need bigger cams to take advantage of a higher rpm range.

3) I have no clue. Different internals definitely, but as far as the other parts, I don't know?

4) Cheapest is to go used. Aftermarket will always be more expensive.
