crower cams have 3 stages. who has them?

i think im gonna go with a set of crower cams. anywho theres a stage 1, 2, and 3. im guessing stage 1 is not gonna be much of a difference and stage 3 is obviously full race with probably a shitty idle, so im leaning towards stage 2. but i dont wanna buy stage 2 cams and then wish i had bought stage 3 cams. anybody that has these do u have any feedback u can give me? thanks. also i wanna go as far as i can on the big16g until i decide to upgrade it in the future to probably a 20g or an fp green. importpalace.com has these cams. importpalace is one of our sponsors here at dsmtuners which is where i found there website. anywho heres my mod list:

I drove in a 1G with stage 2 cams and it had rough idle but it pulled pretty nicely on 14b. Slowboy Racing also has some 264/272 HKS replica made by Crower.

I run the so called stageI or 264 equiv. in mine. pulls hard to rev limiter. idle isn't bad for not being indexed.

i just installed stage 2's friday and i have fallin in love all over again with my car, nice small lumpy idle and it will pull all the way to 7500 if i want it 2 with my b16g. i would recommend these to anybody

I see someone stating the stage 1s are equal to 264s. Does that mean stage 2s are equal to 272s? Im also ordering cams on Wed, and I need to make a choice.

Brian, I would call crower themselves and talk it over with them. They will let you kow the best set up for YOUR combination. I have never run into anyone that has had a problem with any crower products. For a everyday street car I would go with eather the stage 1 or stage 2.
The stage 1 will give you more low end torque than the stage 2 but the stage 2 is a little more agressive in the upper rpms and will pull harder there. Call crower and talk it over with them they know more about them than any of us.

I have the stage threes and they do not idle bad at all. the idle is set around 1100 rpms and I never seem to have any problems. They idle way better then the web cam racing two grinds. Those things barely idled at 1500 rpms.

Did you put adj cam gears on. I just want a base just so that i can start the car up to take it to the dyno. Something close i just ordered the 415's. Thanks a lot.
