Custom exhaust???

I almost bought a used N1 exhaust for $350 until I saw a post from a guy who built a full mandrel bent turbo back for $400. Should I go with custom or are the name brand systems worth the money? Would I even notice a difference?

Your taking a chance, but remember these two things, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is and you get what you pay for. IMO I would just play it safe, if not you could end up paying the 400, then if you don't like you'll have to also shell out the dough for what you should have got originally, but hey, it's your money. Also, check out www.dsmreviews.com to find out opinions about different exhausts from other tuners. 400 bones just sounds like to good of a price for a full turbo-back exhaust system.

I built my exhaust for about 450. It is 3" and that also included an evo o2 housing and a 3" cat. It sounds good and there was a very noticable increase in performance.

Oh... no, I didn't mean that I could personally get a turbo back for $400. For all I know it could cost ME $800, I just heard of someone getting one for that price. I'm just curious if anyone has had any problems as far as quality?
