i need to order a few things and i want help from the masters. i broke my timing belt and my pistons smacked the valves and all the valves are bent but their not that bad the head is fine do i need new valve guides and seals. And the pistons have a minute deeper relif for the vlaves will that hurt the pistions. What do you all think about what i should get please get back to me asap.

Yes you will need all new valves, guides and seals. Take it to a head shop is the best way and it will be done right. $400
I didnt quite understand about your question on the valve reliefs on the pistons. The releifs are there from when they were new they were cast that way.

What happened that your timing belt snaped? You need to figure this out first!!!

hey my timing belt snaped because its old and i am gonna do the valves my selft to save money

i was planning on replacing the guides seals and valves and you can just barely tell that the pistions hit the valves

The valves usually don't hurt the pistons enough to worry about it......a little markage on the pistons in the relief area is normal with skewed timing.....check your guides one at a time for cracks at the base of the guide, usually if the valve bent the guide cracked....some people just go ahead and run them with the cracks in them and don't worry about it, but i like to see them replaced, which you would HAVE to have done at a machine shop (trust me) since the valve seats will have to be reground when replacing any guide,.....so go with: new guides, valves, seals on any bent valves........(my suggestion but it depends on your funds).............. :dsm:

Just what I was going to say. The valves need to be reground along with the seats to seal properly. You cannot do this yourself!!! Sorry if thats not what you wanted to here but we all go thew it.

ok i pulled the head off friday night and i bent every single valve but i didnt bend them badly though. I am getting 1 pieace SS nitrited swril polished valves titanium retainers 3 angle valve job decked and milled head hot tanked new guides new seals ported and polished intake and exhaust. parts come in over night from slowboy and i should have the head back by mondy to get my dsm back on the rd.

whoa that sounds like a lot of trouble. You mite consider a new engine instead of rebuilding if that is the plan.
