Should I Get a 3Inch Exhaust System???

I Have a 95 GST and i have a 19c Turbo on it. I still have the stock cat and cat back on it. I need to know from all those who have 3in Systems (3downpipe,3cat,3catback) is it worth it. will it make that big of a difference in the performance of my car.
 
Yup, I say go for it. 3" o2 eliminator downpipe to 3" high flow cat or test pipe to 3" catback. and make sure the catback is a true 3" (not those which neck down inside somewhere that you don't know about). just my .02. others may think differently.
 
It depends how fast you plan on going in the long run, but I would still go for the 3".
 
You have a 19c and are still runnig the stock cat-back exhaust? Man, get a 3 in. one made ASAP, that stock crap is holding you back big-time. Don't you get a lot of boost creep?

You definately need at least a 2.5 turbo back, but 3" is only 100 more bucks. www.rnrracing.com for $600 you can get a 3" Turbo back o2 housing eliminator exhaust (no cat).

You don't get boost creep from an undersized exhaust flow. You get boost creep from a very effecient exhaust flow and/or a restrictive wastegate flow.

In other words, he has to worry about creep after he gets the 3", not before with the stocker exhaust.
 
OK here it is agin ... I have a 3" downpipe, no cat , and a 3" thru muffler
before i went out and got it had a 2.5 press bent exhaust done, notice that when i got on it, car felt like it was being "held back", so i went and got a 3" exhaust must better and a big inprovment... car responded alot quicker and could tell that the car could "breath" alot better so these people here that say get a 2.5 have no clue what the hell they are talking about people.
People we have turbo cars 3" exhaust is the way to go anything else is a waste of money .
 
People say that 3 inch is too loud and all that nonsense. I never heard what 3 inch piping sounded like so is it real loud, or does it sound good

I can understand the difference between a 2.5" pressbent and a 3" mandrel-bent....

Got any timeslips to back up what you "felt like"?
