I am thinking of getting a 50 trim and was planning on going the internal route. I was wondering who has a 50 trim with the internal, and what kind of boost control are you getting?

Also, what are your mods. Ported o2, cut divider on turbine housing? Just want to get some good feedback before I place an order. THanks

Please no posts saying "just get the external". I want some opinions on the internal gates.

Ive Heard that 50 trims internally can run some pretty decent numbers! I think I read before on dsmtalk there was a guy running 18 PSi and 376 WHP. Pretty standard mods, ported o2 with the dump, ported evo mani, exhaust basicly everything to make an 11 second car. I mean honestly if internal is what you truely want then go for it :thumb:

I have not had any problems with mine. I have a 2.5 S.S. O2 housing with the divider cut. I am currently running 18psi with no boost creep at all. I have 2.5" downpipe with a HKS catback.

When are you seeing 18 psi full boost ? (rpm's) ?

My turbo is not much different than yours. I have an internal W/G set up with the following:

Ported EVO 02
DN SS exhaust manifold
I reach 20lbs of boost in the mid 4 range, with 26 lbs(I don't boost that high often) right under 5. This is mainly due to a leak somewhere. I don't have boost creep issues. since you will be going with the 50, you of course will hit full boost at a lower rpm than I will. I'd go for it. :thumb:

With my Auto I hit full boost by 3500 RPM and it starts to come on around 2800-3000 RPM and nails 15 psi where I have it set. Im getting my FMIC soon so I will be going up to 20 psi of boost. Im just working out some new injectors right now I don't think the 550's are gonna be enough for 20 psi so Im going bigger. I have run it not that hard on the SMIC for a few months but I know its time for a FMIC just saving for it. I have run with the cat and without and had no boost creep issues peroid nothing. I ported my mani and 02 housing but not alot just removed the step on everything.
