My Planned Mods - comments/changes/add ons/suggetions??

Hey all.. I have finally finished my 91 gsx "put together".. which consisted of buying the car with a fully rebuilt motor and brand new head for $900.. then of course, putting together most of the small items on the motor and filling all fluids and buying a few misc. parts.. about $1200 invested... runs good, except 2nd gear ginds a bit.. anyway, i have been cruising the boards for a couple months now, so not too much knowledge of the sm world as of yet, but learning! I have put together a list of mods I have in mind for my GSX under a few guidelines.. Little custom fabbing needed, budget and time restriced, tuning brought to a minimum if possible.. here is what I came up with...

Starting with the "free mods"
EVO III or Ported 2g Exhaust Manifold
Ported 20G Mitsu. Turbo
Ported/Aftermarket O2 housing
Starion FMIC w/ 2.5"or 3" piping
Full 2.5" Turbo back exhaust
Manual Boost controller (15-20 psi)
550cc Injectors
255lph Fuel pump
ATM Vented BOV
GM MAF calc. or 550's
Cold Air Intake
Underdrive Pulleys


I am looking for about 350-400 hp.. or mid-low 12 sec. time slips.. If this does not get me there, then Ill look into some cams with springs and ajustable gears. Afterwards ill look into driveline/suspension modification.

Any input from ayone is greatly appreciated.. any changes or other ideas weclome.. as long as they are within my guidelines and something i can do myself..

My suggestions, change the -

2.5" exhaust to 3"
550's to 660's
Starion intercooler to something "better"

And you'll need -

clutch
AFC, or some sort of tuning device (another is the GM MAF, since you said you want to vent)

And ditch the underdrive pulleys. Money can be spent better elsewhere.

Ok, 3" exhaust sounds good..
Are 660cc injectors really needed for no more than 20 psi?
How much horsepower can the starion fmic hold up to?
Suggestions for better FMIC??
As I stated, I will invest ina GM MAF.
And the car already has a clutch installed.

If your going for a 20g make sure you shop around, some places still want 1000 for them (in which case you could get a much better turbo for cheaper), but I have seen them as cheap as 500 (which is darn good). Dsmtrader is your friend!
