New turbo tommrow!!

I am pickin up my car with a new turbo in it from the shop. Is there a break in period? Or anything else i should do special to it??

There is no break in period, but I like to crank the car with the MPI fuse out(so it won't start) for 10 seconds or so, to get some oil in there.

I believe in a break in period for anything. Any moving part likes to develope a wear pattern. Is it an absolute? No, but about 100miles of cruising sure as hell cant hurt. Many companies use thick assembly lube in thier turbos. Its at least a good idea to cruise a bit to dissolve it before any hard acceleration.

pull the fuse as stated and crank it for a while. Then start it and let it idle for 10 - 15 minutes. Take it easy for 20 miles and that's it IMO.

I cranked my car over for 10-15 seconds to run the oil through the whole system, then I took it easy on the turbo for the first 100miles.

Got the turbo in today. I think it is a t28 because it looks the same but holds till redline.

I didn't buy it. I have an extended warrenty that paid for it. I either got a rebuilt factory or i got an after market on. They said it is a GT25, i think it is a t28.

Yea, but it holds till redline and when i compared the wheels the new one was about .25 inch biiger than the t25, and the stats sheet that came with it has the same stats as a t28.
