I have a question about the newer v2.08 MAFT. It trims your fuel like the SAFC does just without the nifty in car turning Display or so it appears. Has anyone used this with a 16G+ sized turbo? It looks like it should work and I would love the spend the extra 250-350 on something else like better injectors or something. Here is what I'm getting within the next month.

Big 16G w/ SS Oil Feed line
TurboXS MBC
Apexi N1 3" Turbo Back
MAF-T v2.08
3" GM MAF (Blow Thru with Custom homemade UICP)
AutoMeter Boost and A/F guage (I know the A/F guage is almost useless w/o a Wideband)
Greddy Electronic EGT that reads to 2500F
B&M Command Flo FPR and FP Gauge
Rewire on fuel pump

Those are going to be my first mods that I do.. I plan on running about 15-17 PSI of boost with these small things and I want to know if the MAFT is actually a good tool to tune my fuel with. I wold like to hear any good and bad experiences you might have with it..

you can buy afcs off ebay for 180 shipped

That doesn't really answer his questions

You can effectively tune the car to run quite well with just the Translator. Its going to be inconvenient having to stop and open the hood each time to make adjustments. You could always extend the harness and mount it inside. ;)

I was actually thinking of making a extension harness to bring it inside for tuning and once I was happy put it under the Hood as I don't really want anything showy in the "Cockpit"... I'm building a Sleeper or trying and I don't want people thinking that my car is "Tuned" properly.. I'm wanting to make some money from these Honda fools around here... Also on a side quest I have some friend that have SVT Cobra's and one Z06 and I really really want to embaress them... In the end I'll have invested about 8K into the DSM for all the MODS and actuall car price and if I can totally embaress someone in their $45K Z06 my job will have been done... I'm merried so I don't need to pick up cheap chicks on the Drag...

Anyways so I will be able to turn my car with the MAFT... That is what I'm wanting to do... I'm doing some looking in on ECU tweaking... I would like to get a Romulator and be able to basicly change my EEPROM on the fly with my Laptop that will be hidden away under my seat to go from Mild street to Balls crazy Fast for them impromptu High dollor races...

Dejon Tool sells a 6 ft extension to bring it inside

Great... If it's not to much I think I'll have to pick that up when I get my MAFT.... Thank you IHeartTurbo.

The extension I think is $20 for a 6 foot cable, I just ordered it with my maft a few days ago... Along with an evo 16g, inj, pump, pipes, exhaust and more goodies!! yay! :)

I hate to bring bad news, but you are going to have a lot of trouble embarassing any ZO6's and Cobras (unless they are older) with just a 16g. You are probably going to need a much more substantial turbo to hang with them. If they are stock, or really close to it, you might be ok with a 16g.

Mo-Boost... The Big16G is only going in the car to replace the 14B because it's a really good deal... I'm eventually going to have either a FP3052 or FP3065 under the hood with an assortment of different things done along with a bulletproof bottom end to take the 450+HP that I will be makeing.... I'm was saying that when I am done which won't be for a few years It will be a Z06 and Cobra eating machine... not knocking those cars as I'm really tempted to by one of the two in the next coming years... If the Cobra stays supercharged and will still come with a 6 speed after the 05 model year I'm probably going to get me one... I love this DSM but their is just something about makeing the ground shake with loud thunder that spues forth from American muscle.... :)

I have mine and I'm very pleased with it. I have other friends that are also pretty pleased with this setup. It's good for a 'basic' tune, but in order to get the most out of your powerband, it's good to have another form of fuel tuning as specific as the SAFC.

As for the cockpit idea, I cut the wires on mine and just extended them about 10ft. I mounted the actual MAFT inside the armrest, at the top little square thing. It's pretty clean, and relatively easy to tune while driving.
